What does a wash mitt do?
A wash mitt lifts loose dirt and traps it deep inside the microfibre strands, safely pulling it away from the paintwork to prevent scratches. In contrast, sponges will leave dirt sitting on the surface, increasing the risk of scratches and swirl marks.
Is a wash mitt better than a sponge?
Long gone are the days when a sponge was the detailer’s weapon of choice – wash mitts have taken over as the safer, more effective option for lifting and removing dirt without causing scratches and swirls to your vehicle’s paintwork.
How many times can I use a wash mitt?
With the right care, including washing your wash mitt with a dedicated microfibre wash and leaving it out to air dry, you can easily get 350+ uses out of your mitt.
Is it better to wash your car with a brush or mitt?
Wash mitts are a far better option than brushes for washing your car.
Brushes often have firm, harsh bristles that can easily damage your paintwork and cause a load scratches.
Not to mention the dirt and grime that can get trapped between the bristles, acting like sandpaper against your vehicle’s paintwork — something you definitely want to avoid!
